The story recounts to an account of an American couple remaining at an inn, probably in Italy in light of the referencing of Italians and the discourse once in a while having the Italian language. I hang my head out the window, watching the road, feeling like there’s so much waiting for me in life. â€Å"What are you doing?† Micha teases, turning the music down. â€Å"Trying to be a dog?† I shake my head and look up at the bright blue sky. â€Å"No, I’m just enjoying the nice, warm day.† He laughs at me and turns the music back up. My head remains out the window until we reach town, then I return to my seat. When we pull up to the hospital, blue and red lights light up the parking lot and my stomach constricts thinking about the night they showed up to take my mother’s body away. Micha squeezes my hand, letting me know he’s there for me. â€Å"You ready for this?† I nod and we walk hand-in-hand across the parking lot and through the automatic glass doors. A lot of people are sitting in the waiting room and there is a baby crying loudly on a woman’s lap. The smell of cleaner collides with my nostrils as we walk up to the front desk where a secretary is talking on the phone. She’s young with dark hair woven in a bun on top of her head. I catch her eyes skimming across Micha as she hangs up the phone and turns to us. She overlaps her hands and sets them on the counter. â€Å"Can I help you?† â€Å"Yeah, can you tell us what room Grady Morris is in?† Micha asks with a polite smile. She taps her fingers on the keyboard and then reads the screen. â€Å"He’s on the second floor in room 214.† We nod graciously and head for the elevator. Micha swings his arm around me, guiding me closer as we reach the floor and I slip my hand into the back pocket of his jeans, craving his comfort. When we enter the room, my insides twist until I notice Grady is sitting up in his bed, eating a cup full of green Jell-O. He looks pale under the florescent light, his arms nearly bones, and his eyes are more sunken in then the last time I saw him. A machine is hooked up to him, beeping in the corner, and an IV is taped to the back of his hand. Some of his items from home are hanging on the wall, making them not so bare. Somehow, he manages to genuinely smile. â€Å"Just what I wanted. To see my two favorite people in the whole wide world.† I loosen up and Micha and I pull up chairs beside his bed on opposing sides of one another. Grady pushes the tray out of the way and sets his hands in his lap. â€Å"So do you want to tell me what’s up?† he asks and Micha and I exchange confused looks. â€Å"With the cuddly entrance you two made.† â€Å"Micha made me do it,† I joke, sliding a glance at Micha. â€Å"He was being a baby. Due to constraints in working with the government directly they have supported and strengthened the local NGOs and civil society organizations (CSOs) to advance their objectives (Li 2005).The rationale use includes improving transparency in village planning level, conflict resolution and step sponsorship of NGOs. However NGOs have their own limitations such as the leaders use as a vehicle for reformation of social and political life. The World Bank has used neo-liberal system to ensure ‘good governance’ by instituting a competitive process based on administrative and decentralized structures (Li 2005).More so in order for the region to be eligible for support from World Bank it had to proof that it is pro-poor and is supervised by the World Bank team. According to Arya (1999) he explains the role in which NGOs have worked with their government under the funding of donors (government agencies, private agencies and governments). The common objectives for the collaboration include; access to technical resources, gain legitimacy or recognition from the people, obtain appropriate solution and developmental problems, enhance people’s participation and provide   better accountability, transparency and public reform system (Arya   1999).Donors view NGOs as intermediaries or transitory to government links to people and use them to as instruments of improved service delivery and outreach to the government. Studies have shown that one who is physically active has higher chances of living longer. Del Sanden writes in his article on Exercise Statistics, People who engage in physical for 7 hours per week have a 40 percent lower chance of dying early than people who are active for less than 30 minutes a week. This statement is one of the many statements in his article proving the importance of fitness; it has the ability to enhance quality of life. Regular exercise can lower the risk of many diseases, improve the function of the physical body, as well as psychological health. Fitness by definition is the condition of being physically fit and healthy. It does not necessarily mean gym workouts, it means being active. Diabetes is a disease when the body does not produce enough insulin making sugar levels very high. However, when muscles are in action they can take the sugar/glucose from the blood without the help of insulin. The amount of physical activity necessary for prevention is minimum and does not take up much time. Research suggests that 2 1/2 hours per week of even leisurely physical activity—like brisk walking—is enough to significantly improve glucose tolerance. By going walking instead of sitting by a television screen, one can prevent a disease like diabetes which requires constant medication. Decisions like taking steps instead of elevator can make a huge difference to ones health. Besides for the aforementioned, being active strengthens the body, making it more reliable. Activity works the bones and muscles, making them able to handle more. Bones are living tissue. Weight-bearing physical activity causes new bone tissue to form, and this makes bones stronger. This kind of physical activity also makes muscles stronger. Bones and muscles both become stronger when muscles push and tug against bones during physical activity. This build up enables the body to carry its own weight, making standing on the feet an effortless activity.
